2 Sentence Scary Stories

  • He leaned in and whispered something in her ear that made her giggle and smile.  Then, they each picked up a hammer and started walking toward me.

  • She felt honored to inherit her great grandmother's favorite porcelain doll. That is, until it's head turned to face her and it withdrew a scalpel from under its lacey pink dress.

  • She loved the sound of happy children, laughing and playing.  But not at 3am, alone in her home.

  • Date night was long overdue.  Because of the smell of her rotting corpse, however, date night would have to be Netflix and chill from now on.

  • Unlike most, she’d always found darkness to be calming.  It was the sealed box she seemed to be locked in that was unsettling.

  • “This meal is great!  You’ve outdone yourself!” he said.  She smiled and said “Thank You” just before he began to convulse and cough up blood.

  • On her doorstep, she found the most beautiful white rose bouquet with a big red rose in the center.  She looked up in horror when she realized the red rose was painted red with blood.

  • The music box began playing a soft lullaby.  I immediately panic because he only turns it on while he hurts me.

  • She was so happy to run into the field of beautiful wildflowers she stumbled upon while on a Sunday drive in the country.  The man-eating flowers were equally as happy that she stumbled upon them.

  • The view from his 3rd floor bedroom window is beautiful today!  His imaginary friend says it’s a great day to fly.

  • While chopping wood by the barn, he noticed the cutest little mouse and considered catching it as a pet for his daughter.  He quickly changed his mind when he looked up to see thousands more like it running across the field, straight toward him.

  • Tina had always thought superstition was silly. That is, until she entered her living room as the umbrella by the front door spontaneously popped open, the mirror in her hallway shattered, and a black cat walked across the outside windowsill of her front window...simultaneously...on Friday the 13th.

  • She commented on how beautiful the full moon was.  Her date made a strange snarling sound and whispered “RUN” as the moonlight touched his face.

  • Laundry was his least favorite chore around the house.  Actually, cleaning blood stains off the basement floor was worse.

  • He was never as happy as when his creative juices were flowing.  It was unfortunate for his health, however, that his favorite medium was painting with his own blood.

  • Walking on this path through the woods was his favorite way to unwind after work.  Until he started to pass photos nailed to tree trunks of him walking down the same path the day before.

  • He absolutely loved the taste of fresh carrots from his garden.  If only he could hear their screams as he ripped them from their homes in the earth and the painful cries of their demise as he chewed them to death.

  • Mimes are so much fun to watch!  I wish this one would stop breaking character to beg for his life, though, because it’s very distracting.

  • He tried to comfort his young daughter and calm her crying.  Ever since his murder, however, his daughter had been inconsolable and only cried more when he approached her.

  • She and her partner enjoyed stargazing while snuggling under the moonlight.  However, their date was ruined when the star they were admiring grew closer and closer until it let out a beam of light that lifted them both up into it.

  • The small boy excitedly chased after the fireflies, trying to catch them in his little jar. The evil fairies circled the boy, lighting up as if they were fireflies only to get close enough to strike.

  • I love my cats with all my heart and couldn't picture my life without them! After lying paralyzed on the floor for two days from a fall down the stairs, however, my beloved cats are getting hungry.
